~ Adore~ SOUS

Happy reveal Friday at Stuck on U Sketches, everyone! I have a super cute layout to share with you today! Of course, having an amazing sketch to work with makes everything so much easier and much more fun! The sketch for this Friday is by the ever talented Sandi Clarkson. [Yay, Sandi!] I used my May LE kit from My Creative Scrapbook, featuring Prima's Songbird collection.

I was looking for the perfect picture for this sketch, and came across this cute picture in my nieces  Facebook gallery.  I downloaded it and turned it into a b/w photo.  The cutie is Cassidy, whom you have seen in numerous other layouts of mine.

Here is the sketch by Sandi.

On this layout I did some stamping, some punch work, some edge distressing on the photo and inking. I folded a couple of paper flowers in half and used them to make a nest for the chipboard bird to sit on.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please go to the SOUS blog and check out what the other amazing designers have created!

~Brent~ Stuck on U Sketches

Happy reveal Friday! Today I'm going to keep this pretty short and to the point as I have been quite sick all week and I am just wiped!  I want to share my take on this weeks sketch with you.  This is my brother, Brent, when he was just a baby.  I love how the photo has been touched up the way they used to do it, years ago.  You can tell on his hair and his lips.  So cute! My mom must of had a thing for curls! lol

I used my May Limited Edition Kit from My Creative Scrapbook.  Love the awesomeness of the Prima papers and the birdies! The photo had some damage on it, so I touched it up in PSE, but didn't mess with the integrity  of the photo. I did some random stamping and doodled around the outer edge of the layout.

Here is the sketch that Sandy designed.  I had to flip it to work with my photo better.  What a great sketch to work with!

I used a Dusty Attic hinge in the top left hand corner of the layout. I did a distressed crackle finish on it.

I popped up every other letter in the title with pop dots.

I got this flower from a scrappy friend at Love is in The Details [thanks Norine!] I used some of the Mistable Canvas goodies that came in the kit.

I did some fussy cutting

I did some stamping and masking, and little more Dusty Attic!

I added a  bit of cheese cloth to add some softness.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and again, I am sorry this is so short but thanks for understanding!  Make sure you stop by  Stuck on U Sketches and see what the other designers have made!  Have a blessed weekend!
